IGI report
IGI, the International Gemological Institute, is one of the largest independent diamond grading labs in the world. Main diamonds of 0.5 ct or more each get their own IGI diamond report. Smaller diamonds are certified together, with an IGI jewelry report for the finished piece. The report ships in the box with your Estara certificate, and you can look up its number on IGI's website.

How we grade
How we grade our stones
Moissanite has no single global grading lab, so we hold every stone to one standard ourselves. Every lab grown diamond piece is certified independently by IGI.

Moissanite
Shop moissaniteEvery moissanite we set is D color, the top of the color scale, with no warm tint. Clarity is VVS: inclusions too small to see without magnification. Each stone is measured, and its carat goes on your certificate.

Lab grown diamond
Explore lab grown diamondsA real diamond, graded for color and clarity on the same scale as mined diamonds, with the grade shown on every product page. Every piece is certified by IGI, not by us: stones of 0.5 ct or more each get their own report, and smaller stones, including every tennis bracelet, get an IGI jewelry report for the finished piece.

Is moissanite certified?
Yes. Every moissanite piece comes with an Estara certificate that records its D color, VVS clarity, carat weight and metal. There is no single global grading lab for moissanite, so we grade every stone to one standard and back it with our limited lifetime warranty.
Which pieces come with an IGI report?
Every lab grown diamond piece. Where each main diamond is 0.5 ct or more, every main diamond gets its own IGI diamond report. Smaller diamonds, including every tennis bracelet, are certified as the finished piece with an IGI jewelry report. Either report ships in the box along with your Estara certificate.
What is IGI?
IGI, the International Gemological Institute, is one of the largest independent diamond grading labs in the world. It grades the diamond, not us. You can look up your report number on IGI's website and see the same results.
What if I lose my certificate?
Email care@houseofestara.com with your order number. We keep a record of every certificate we issue and will arrange a replacement.
Can a jeweler check my piece?
Yes. Any qualified jeweler can test the metal and look at the stone. Bring your certificate so they can compare your piece with its record.
